Garden Villa and walkaround at Centara Villas Samui, Koh Samui, Thailand. Nice resort in a relaxed area at the south east of Samui island. Overall the beach and the staff made this place a good stay.
Pros
This is a good resort if you want to stay away from the the more busy beaches like Lamai or Chaweng. I chose the cheapest room option available at Agoda booking and this little garden villa was clean and comfy. Not that I used it personally but I do appreciate that Centara offer a pillow menu. Lush gardens, three pools and waterfalls. Laem Set Beach was a pretty beach with no jet-skis which is a huge plus. Decent sized fitness room and a tiny ATM was across the street. Staff was as welcoming and kind as in any Centara brand resort I have visited previously, they do a great job.
Cons
Nothing mayor but some parts of the interior looked a little dated and refurbished, no big deal really. TV was old-school and the shower head looked liked it had been painted with silver to hide discoloring. We ordered from the meny during the evening buffet and had to wait well over an hour for the food. Staff apologized kindly, but if you are really hungry my tip is to just go straight for the buffet 🙂. As the resort is a complex labyrinth of stairs it might not be ideal if you have problem with walking. Not much other restaurants and attractions in the nearby area, but you stay here for the resort and beach, not the stuff in the distance.
