Very nice pool villa in a convenient area of Koh Tao. This villa is at the same road as the great Phandara Luxury Villas but not as far up the hill. Easy to get to and one of the best places to stay in Koh Tao if you are looking for villas.
What’s good?
Great villa layout in two steps at the steep hill. Fantastic panorama over the Sairee Beach area and Koh Nang Yuan. View is visual from both living-room and bedroom. Descent kitchen if you like cooking. Bed comfy enough. Small dipper pool to cool of. Staff will help you with everything you need, taxi from and to the pier, as bike rental, tours etc. The villa is only a few minutes away from Sairee Beach, Mae Haad, the pier, restaurants and the nearest 7-eleven with scooter. You could walk but that would be about 10-20 minutes to the beach. Villa had some signs of age but overall very clean and would highly recommend a stay here. The complimentary welcome-bottle of prosecco was a nice touch.
What’s not so good?
Lots of stairs up to the villa if you have problem with walking. Parking area is small and steep so watch ut, your bike might roll away if you are DUI-ing. Air-con is in bedroom only. There are fans and curtains in the living-room but it still gets very hot in the afternoon when the sun hits the huge glass-covered front of the building. The area is mostly very calm, but at times there are the usual Thailand holiday issues like barking dogs and random burning of smelly trash.
